The Serengeti Great Migration
The Great Migration is a remarkable natural spectacle that unfolds annually in the Serengeti ecosystem.
Starting in Southern Serengeti with wildebeest calves being born, the massive herd moves north to the Masai Mara in Kenya during May's drought, pursued by predators. Risking river crossings with lurking crocodiles and facing the Serengeti's formidable lion population, the migration culminates with the short rains in late October, leading them back to the Serengeti by December, completing the circle of life.
